What’s New in MDR for Summer 2023

Here’s the latest on what’s new in MDR for summer including all the fun events! From free concerts and movie nights at Burton Chace Park to the beloved annual Fourth of July Firework show, read below to view what’s new in MDR. Mark your calendars for a summer of fun in the sun!  

NEW: DUCHESS PUB, A FUN WAY TO EXPLORE THE HARBOR

The Duchess Yacht Service announced their brand new vessel, Duchess Pub, a 26-passenger cycle boat offering harbor tours for groups of all ages. Guests use their feet to pedal The Duchess Pub, making the Paddle Wheel propel the boat on their tour. At any time, the Onboard Licensed Captain can deploy machinery power to relieve the guests of the task so they can sit back and enjoy the ride.
 
Open boat mixer tours start at $79 person and private tours start at $1,106.00 plus tax and fees. This fun interactive experience can be shared by family, friends, co-workers, and groups celebrating special events. Click here for more information.  
 

float into fun: WATERBUS OPENS JUNE 16 WITH NEW hours

The popular Marina WaterBus returns featuring rides for $1 per person to eight stops throughout L.A.’s Marina. The WaterBus will run as follows:

  • Fridays and Saturdays, 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
  • Saturdays, noon-10 p.m.
  • Sundays, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Fourth of July, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. 
  • Labor Day, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. 
  • Thursday Concerts (July 27 and August 10): 5 p.m.-10 p.m.

 

ANNUAL FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS, TUESDAY JULY 4

MARINA DEL REY SUMMER CONCERTS

The annual Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series presented by L.A. County Department of Beaches and Harbors continues at Burton Chace Park. The free concerts on Thursday and Saturday nights are a fun way to enjoy music with a view. Several dates have been confirmed in July and August, but the performers have not been announced. SUMMER MOVIE NIGHTS  

The free Summer Movie Nights presented by L.A. County Department of Beaches and Harbors at Burton Chace Park will start in July. The schedule is published but the movies have not yet been announced. Check back here soon!
