Bluewater Sailing

Fairwind Yacht Club
All-volunteer sailing membership cooperative with over 20 boats ranging from 14-40 feet, for free training, cruising and fun. Free Sail and Open House are scheduled every Tuesday and on the second Saturday of each month.

UCLA Marina Aquatic Center
310-823-0048Marina Aquatic Center offers extensive instructional and recreational boating programs, including stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, surfing, rowing and sailing. Equipment rentals are also available. All programs are open to non-UCLA community affiliates.
US Coast Guard Auxiliary
Public education classroom lessons in boating skills and seamanship, sailing fundamentals, basic and advanced coastal navigation and more. They also conduct free vessel safety checks. Class schedules are available on the website.
Yachts 4 Fun
310-822-1037Yacht4Fun’s Los Angeles Powerboat Academy is a U.S. Powerboat Course provider for the larger “cruising class” powerboats. We offer semi-private and group lessons for Basic Cruising Powerboat, Night Operations, and Inshore certifications courses. After obtaining your certifications, you can take command of the helm of our 40’, 50’, and 55’ luxury powerboats. The Basic Powerboat certification course is a 12-hour on-the-water training program and is accepted by the state for your California Boater Card.
