MAKE A SPLASH: STAY COOL ON THE WATER
1. Ride the Marina WaterBus: Wrap up the season with a $1 ride on the Marina WaterBus and grab a bite at one of the harbor’s eateries.
2. Parasail Above It All: Soar 500 feet above the marina on a parasailing adventure. Tandem rides are perfect for sharing the thrill! Kids aged 6 and up are welcome to join the fun.
3. Pool Party: Don’t miss the last hurrah of the Sunday Funday pool party series at the Marina del Rey Hotel. Hotel guests (21 and up) get free entry. Others can enjoy the poolside vibes for a cover charge, complete with live DJs, food, and drink specials. Click here for more information.
4. Explore the waters: From kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding to renting a boat, MDR offers endless ways to get on the water. Charter a yacht for a grand Santa Monica Bay adventure or try a YOGAqua class at Marina “Mother’s” Beach for a refreshing workout.

5. Join the salsa party every Friday at The Warehouse Restaurant with free lessons starting at 9 p.m. The dance floor opens at 10 p.m. with a $15 cover charge. Click here for more details.

7. Outdoor Flicks: Pack a picnic for a cozy movie night at Burton Chace Park with Meg 2 (PG 13) on Saturday, August 31. The annual Marina del Rey Movie Nights series continues through end of October. For a beachside movie experience, head to Jamaica Bay Inn on Sunday, September 1, starting at 7 p.m. for their Outdoor Movie Nights .

8. Brunch Bonanza: From harbor views at SALT and Brizo to jazz brunch cruises and Labor Day brunch cruises via City Cruises, Marina del Rey knows how to brunch. Check out our waterfront dining guide to find your perfect spot.
9. Food Trucks & Farmers Markets: Enjoy the weekly Beach Eats food truck fest on Thursday at Lot #11. Or shop for gourmet goodies and fresh produce at the Marina del Rey Farmers Market on Saturday, also at Lot #11.
10. Cool Down: Beat the heat with ice cream from local favorites like Daniel’s Ice Cream at Fisherman’s Village, KC’s Crepes, Pinkberry at Waterside Shops, Winston Pies, Coldstone Creamery, or Capri Gelato.
11. Bonus! Killer Shrimp Restaurant & Bar opens its parking lot to hot rod, classic car, and motorcycle displays. Free admission. The familiy-friendly event takes place on Saturday, August 31, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Click here for more information.
