Waterfront Views from Restaurants

Make reservations at waterfront restaurants such as Cast and Plow at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey pictured here. Click button to see the Waterfront Restaurant guide. We recommend making reservations ASAP as some restaurants offer timed seating in order to offer guests the best view of the fireworks show.

Sinder: BBQ Special, Drinks and Rooftop Views

Nothing beats being on a rooftop and watching 4th of July fireworks in Los Angeles! Head to Sinder located at the the Marriott Marina del Rey and enjoy a 4th of July BBQ plate special featuring Corn on the cobb, BBQ ribs, Sausage or Chicken, Potato salad and sweet rolls. Festivities begin at 4:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Admission is $20.00 per person. Later on, make your way to the rooftop and take in the best views of the fireworks (drinks will be served, no food).

Party at the Marina del Rey Hotel

Join a fabulous 4th of July party at the Marina del Rey Hotel from noon to 4 p.m. on the garden side for a live band, lawn games and drink specials. Hop over to the pool from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. for a DJ and more drink specials. The best fireworks views are from the garden side at the hotel. Tickets available for $20 online or for $30 at the door. Brunch Cruise

Hop aboard a two-hour brunch cruise from Marina del Rey. Savor a brunch buffet with freshly prepared entrees, salads and desserts. Bring your drinks to the top deck and take in the spectacular views of the Los Angeles skyline. Tickets are still available for brunch cruise. Dinner cruise is sold out.

Parasailing

Soar to new heights when you book a 500' or 800' parasailing trip out of Fisherman's Village. You can fly solo, as a pair or up to three people (weight and weather restrictions may apply). Reservations are highly recommended especially during the weekends.

Paddling

Rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard to escape and explore the harbor. Marina "Mother's" Beach is a good spot for beginners learning to stand-up paddle or kayak. Photo: Pro SUP Shop offers lessons.

WaterBus

The WaterBus operates from Friday, June 18 through Monday, Sept. 6. For just $1 per ride, you can take the WaterBus to eight stops in the Marina, including Burton Chace Park (the park stop is closed on 4th of July), Fisherman’s Village, Waterfront Walk (near Tony P's), Marina "Mother's" Beach and others. Bikes and strollers are allowed on board; pets are not allowed.

Marina "Mother's" Beach

Marina del Rey’s popular beach is loved by locals and visitors alike, especially on holiday weekends including 4th of July.

The cove’s lack of surf make it ideal for families with young kids. There's a playground on the sand, too. Mother's Beach also offers a paved ADA ramp to the waterline. Restrooms are easily accessible near the sand. The picnic shelters offer barbecue grills that are also quite popular during the holiday. Arrive early if you can since this is a favorite spot by many for viewing the spectacular fireworks show. Click button for more information.

FIsherman's Village

Enjoy food, shop or hop aboard a boat from Fisherman’s Village, a replica of a New England seaport and fishing town. You can stroll the quiet harborfront to enjoy views of the Marina, passing sailboats, and wildlife. We recommend making reservations at the waterfront restaurants, especially to get prime seating to view the fireworks. Free live music from 2-5 p.m. by the band Friends (R&B) at the center plaza.
